Consumatore:

Gli inibitori della trascrittasi inversa, didanosina (ddI), zalcitabina (ddC), la stavudina (d4T) e lamivudina (3TC), può causare pancreatite. L'incidenza è generalmente bassa, ma è di circa il 7% della ddI, e fino al 15% in pazienti pediatrici dato 3TC. I pazienti con una storia di o noti fattori di rischio per la pancreatite, come l'abuso di alcool o ipertrigliceridemia, devono essere strettamente monitorati durante la terapia con questi agenti. La terapia deve essere interrotta ai primi segni o sintomi suggestivi di pancreatite (ad esempio, nausea, vomito, dolore addominale, hyperamylasemia con dysglycemia, aumento dei trigliceridi, diminuzione dei livelli sierici del calcio), e preferibilmente interrotto in modo permanente se clinica pancreatite si sviluppa.
