Consumatore:

L'uso del solido formulazioni orali di potassio è controindicato in pazienti con arresto o ritardo gastrointestinale (GI) di transito, sia a causa della strutturale, patologico, o farmacologici cause. Il potassio è irritante per la mucosa GI e può causare colite e/o lesioni stenotiche, durante un prolungato contatto fisico. Base spontanea, i rapporti sulle reazioni avverse, la frequenza del piccolo intestino lesioni associate con rivestimento enterico preparazioni di cloruro di potassio è di 40 a 50 per 100.000 anni-paziente, mentre che per la cera matrice a rilascio controllato formulazioni meno di uno ogni 100.000 pazienti-anno. Esofagea, ulcerazione è stato segnalato anche a seguito della somministrazione controllata di formulazioni a rilascio di cloruro di potassio in pazienti cardiopatici con esofageo compressione a causa di ingrossamento atrio sinistro. Supplementazione di potassio deve essere somministrato come una preparazione liquida o come una sospensione acquosa in pazienti con ostruzione esofagea e/o ritardato il tempo di transito gastrointestinale.

A causa di ulcerogenic effetti, orali di potassio devono essere somministrati con cautela in pazienti con ulcera peptica o altre malattie gastrointestinale superiore associati con l'infiammazione, sanguinamento o perforazione. I pazienti devono essere avvisati di non schiacciare, masticare, o rompere potassio compresse o capsule, e prendere i loro pasti e un bicchiere pieno di acqua o altro liquido. Potassio liquidi deve essere diluito prima del consumo.
