Consumatore:La maggior parte anticonvulsivanti sono principalmente metabolizzati dal fegato. L'attività metabolica potrebbe essere ridotta nei pazienti con malattia del fegato, con conseguente elevati livelli di farmaco e aumento del rischio di tossicità. La terapia con anticonvulsivanti deve essere somministrato con cautela in pazienti con lieve o moderata compromissione epatica. La terapia con questi farmaci è in gran parte non e ' raccomandato in pazienti con grave compromissione epatica. Attenzione, è consigliata nel trattamento di pazienti con una storia di malattia epatica, in quanto l'uso di alcuni anticonvulsivanti è stato associato con epatotossicità. Baseline e di valutazione periodica della funzione epatica è raccomandato. La terapia deve essere interrotta e non risomministrato se l'evidenza di danno epatico è osservato e sentito droga-correlati.
