Dei recettori Beta-adrenergici agenti di blocco (aka beta-bloccanti) può mascherare i sintomi di ipoglicemia come tremori, tachicardia e variazioni della pressione sanguigna. Inoltre, il selettivi beta-bloccanti (es. propranololo, pindololo, timololo) possono inibire l'azione delle catecolamine-mediata glicogenolisi, quindi cumulo di insulina indotta da ipoglicemia e ritardare il ripristino di normali livelli di glucosio nel sangue. Dal cardioselectivity non è assoluta, grandi dosi di beta-1 selettivo agenti possono dimostrare di questi effetti. La terapia con beta-bloccanti devono essere somministrati con cautela in pazienti con diabete o predisposti a ipoglicemia spontanea.

Consumatore:

I diuretici tiazidici possono causare iperglicemia e glicosuria in pazienti con diabete. Essi possono anche precipitare il diabete in pazienti prediabetici. Questi effetti sono di solito reversibili dopo l'interruzione dei farmaci. La terapia con diuretici tiazidici devono essere somministrati con cautela in pazienti con diabete mellito, intolleranza al glucosio, o una predisposizione all'iperglicemia. I pazienti con diabete mellito devono essere monitorati più attentamente durante la terapia con tiazidici, e la loro antidiabetici regime regolato di conseguenza.
