Consumatore:

Più antibiotici beta-lattamici sono eliminati per via renale come farmaco immodificato e, in alcuni casi, anche come metaboliti. Le concentrazioni sieriche di antibiotici beta-lattamici e dei loro metaboliti possono essere aumentati e l'emivita prolungata in pazienti con funzione renale compromessa. Neurotossico reazioni, tra cui encefalopatia, asterixis, mioclono, convulsioni e coma, sono stati segnalati in pazienti trattati per via parenterale con questi agenti. Dosaggio possono essere necessarie rettifiche e modifiche dovrebbero essere in base al grado di compromissione renale, nonché della gravità dell'infezione, in conformità con il singolo prodotto, la confezione e l'etichettatura. Test di funzionalità renale deve essere eseguita periodicamente, durante un prolungato e/o a terapia ad alte dosi, poiché la nefrotossicità e alterazioni della funzione renale, occasionalmente sono stati associati con l'uso di questi farmaci.
