Consumatore:

Stupefacenti (oppiacei) analgesico agenti sono ampiamente metabolizzato dal fegato, e molti di loro (ad esempio, codeina, idrocodone, meperidina, metadone, morfina, propossifene) sono metaboliti attivi che sono ulteriormente convertiti inattivo sostanze. Le concentrazioni sieriche di questi agenti e i loro metaboliti possono essere aumentati e l'emivita prolungata nei pazienti con compromissione della funzione epatica. La terapia con oppiacei deve essere somministrata con cautela, e ha avviato una riduzione del dosaggio in pazienti con malattia epatica. Dosi successive devono essere titolata in base alle singole risposta piuttosto che un fisso orario di dosaggio.

Consumatore:

In generale, ansiolitici, sedativi e ipnotici sono ampiamente metabolizzato dal fegato. La loro clearance plasmatica può essere diminuita e la loro emivita prolungata nei pazienti con compromissione della funzione epatica. La terapia con questi farmaci devono essere somministrati con cautela in pazienti con malattia del fegato (alcuni non sono raccomandati in grave compromissione epatica), e il dosaggio deve essere regolato di conseguenza. La prova di laboratorio è consigliata prima e durante il trattamento.
