Consumatore:

I corticosteroidi possono causare ulcera peptica e apparato gastrointestinale (GI) di emorragia, di solito quando somministrato in dosi elevate o per periodi prolungati. Tuttavia, anche rispetto ai dosaggi possono aggravare i sintomi in pazienti con una storia di ulcera peptica. Ritardo di guarigione delle ulcere è stato segnalato anche. La terapia con corticosteroidi dovrebbe essere evitata o somministrata con cautela in pazienti con attiva o latente di ulcera peptica o di altri fattori di rischio per sanguinamento gastrointestinale. Alcuni medici raccomandano l'uso di profilattici antiacidi o H2-antagonisti tra i pasti, quando le grandi dosi di corticosteroidi sono necessari.
