L'uso di beta-adrenergici agenti di blocco (aka beta-bloccanti) è controindicato in pazienti con seno bradyarrhythmia o blocco cardiaco maggiore di primo grado (a meno che non funzionamento del pacemaker è presente). A causa della loro negativa inotropo e cronotropo effetti sul cuore, l'uso di beta-bloccanti è probabile che aggravare queste condizioni.
